When it comes to a less than brand name brand, many people seem it's too cheap or maybe the quality isn't all there and you get what you pay for. While it may seem like all that's true, elf (eyes lips face ) is a very good brand for more than half of the drugstore brands and it seems like no one ever knows how well it works.

The swatch and the pen color matches true to shade, so what you see on the color of plastic will represent the approximate shade you're grabbing. Medium opacity, but layers will darken the color overall.

The product isn't a lipstick so it's going to feel a bit dry and feel like its lacking moisture. This is better suited as a base for your lipstick to adhere to, to prevent the color from bleeding out. However it doesn't bother me just wearing it by itself, it feels light and i feel like this could last a while, of course eating and drinking will wear out the lasting power much more quickly.

The amount that is transfer onto surfaces is very little. 

For a few dollars, this product is pretty impressive. It gets the job done and it's done well.
